Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Program Manager
The Brockton Redevelopment Authority (BRA) in collaboration with the City of Brockton Mayor’s Office is accepting applications for the position of a Program Manager for the Lead Based Paint Hazard Control Program for the City of Brockton. The Program Manager will be responsible for programs’ overall activities in accordance with the regulations, mission and goals of the BRA.
Include meeting with consumers about the Lead program and assist with intake and processing of applications. Perform a Healthy Homes Inspection for qualified families. Work collaboratively with Lead-Based Paint Hazardous Control (LBPHC) program partners and city departments to ensure optimal case management to target units that have been identified.
Address overall program performance and effectiveness to ensure program objectives and goals are being achieved. Maintaining the program budget and submitting quarterly-federal reports. Responsibility for enforcing the Federal and State Lead Law in homes of lead poisoned children and other children under age 6.
Bachelor’s degree and/or Associate’s degree with a minimum of two-years’ experience in a related field such as lead, asbestos, mold remediation, housing repair or inspection, and or environmental hazard remediation work. Demonstrated work experience of at least 3 years with grant programs. Must have the ability to make work decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills in a courteous, efficient and professional manner with staff, oversight Boards, committees and the general public, both verbally and in writing is amust.Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft applications including word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, email, Internet, PowerPoint etc. is a must. Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Time management and organizational skills is required to maintain detailed financial files and make them readily available upon request.
Preferred but not required; Certified Environmental Specialist, OSHA Lead Awareness training.
