Office Assistant Job Description
The Brockton Redevelopment Authority is looking for a part-time Office Assistant to be responsible for handling clerical tasks in our office. You will be handling incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting clients and visitors, as well as managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office clerk duties and errands. In order for you to be considered as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with word processing applications. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued.

Office Assistant Responsibilities:
• Managing filing system
• Recording information as needed
• Greeting clients and visitors as needed
• Updating paperwork, maintaining files, binders, and word processing
• Helping organize and maintain office common areas
• Performing general office clerk duties and errands
• Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases
• Any other tasks to assist the staff in completing their duties

Office Assistant Requirements:
• High school diploma or associate’s degree
• Experience as an office assistant or in related field
• Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary
• Warm personality with strong communication skills
• Ability to work well with a small team
• Great communication skills
• Prefer valid driver license

Intake Coordinator Job Description
The Brockton Redevelopment Authority is seeking a part-time Intake Coordinator for the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control program. The intake coordinator will be responsible for handling incoming applications, working directly with clients and the community, reviewing paperwork and other documents for qualifications, managing files and performing other general tasks needed to support the Program Manager. Interested candidates must be proficient in reading/writing and be proficient with word processing applications. A pleasant personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued.

Intake Coordinator Responsibilities:
• Primary staff responsible for determining client/unit eligibility for the LBPHC Program
• Meet with consumers about the Lead Program and assist with community engagement in the program
• Work closely with program manager and staff to ensure optimal case management is met with target families
• Complete intake information form via telephone or in person, prepare packets and information for potential clients of the LBPHC Program and will follow-up to determine potential clients’ status and continued interest in the programs, and will record all client contacts in the appropriate data base
• Provide notices of eligibility, notices to proceed and will assist in the relocation process of homeowners and tenants
• Maintain timely and accurate case records
• Will ensure contractors information are up to date, ensure licenses are current/maintain files
• Participate in ongoing training as requested, this may require out of state trainings
• Participate in data gathering
• Maintaining supply inventory
• Any other tasks to assist the staff in completing their duties

Intake Coordinator Requirements:
• A minimum of associate’s degree or 2 years’ experience in housing or human services
• Prior Greater Brockton Area community advocacy
• Ability to write clearly and good with word processing when necessary
• Great communication skills
• Good organization skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have access to a car
• Willingness to travel throughout the city to visit clients in need of assistance, visit intake partners, and be able to attend events to market program information
